Leo Laporte

Leo Laporte, in in opinion, is one the most informed people where computer and technology is concerned. After watching him on Call For Help and The Screen Savers [ZDTV, TechTV], and as of late, listening to his radio show, I have learned a lot from his insights on computers and technology.

After the demise of TechTV, I mean the sale of TechTV to Comcast Corporation, it was merged with G4 Media to form G4TechTV in May, 2004. A number of programs were cancelled, including Call For Help. But luckily, G4TechTV Canada got Leo back on television to do what is now called Call For Help 2.0, which is seen weeknights at 6pm Eastern and Pacific. Unfortunately it is not seen in the states as yet. A distribution deal has been struck in  Australia for the show to be seen on the How To Channel from Monday 7th March, 2005.

Apart from this, he also has his radio show "The Tech Guy On KFI" Saturday and Sunday 11am to 2pm Pacific Time. Which is heard in Los Angeles on KFI AM 640 and worldwide  from their website. He also does tech news commentaries every Tuesday at 6:45am Pacific on KGO 810 AM in San Francisco, Fridays at 8:35a Pacific with Bill Handel on KFI AM 640 in Los Angeles, and every Saturday at 7:40am Eastern with John Donabie on 1010 CFRB Toronto. NOTE: You can download the radio show without commercials from the audio archives.

Note that G4TechTV will revert back to G4TV soon. Hence completing the total demise of TechTV.
